Cylindrical roller bearing

Cylindrical roller bearings named by using cylindrical roller as rolling elements.

Researcher consider that cylindrical roller bearings are the oldest type of the roller bearing itself. By the usage of cylindrical rollers as rolling elements, a linear load accrues between the bearing rings and the rollers. In comparison to other bearings, that are built with balls as rolling elements, significantly higher loads are transferred.

Different types of designs exist to transfer radial as well as axial loads.
STI produces all types: N; NU; NJ; NUP; NJ+ HJ
